NASA's Spitzer Finds Hidden, Hungry Black Holes

Most of the biggest black holes in the universe have been eating cosmic meals behind closed doors – until now.

This false-color image from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope shows a distant galaxy (yellow) that houses a quasar, a super-massive black hole circled by a ring, or torus, of gas and dust.

With its sharp infrared eyes, NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope peered through walls of galactic dust to uncover what may be the long-sought missing population of hungry black holes known as quasars.

Art Teachers, are you are teaching the color wheel wrong?

Schools have been teaching the color wheel wrong for 100 years. Red, Yellow and Blue are not the primary colors. I'm mad and I want the State's Schools Standards changed. I developed a Real Color Wheel with the real primary colors and I'm going to talk about it.
You are welcome to comment.

Letterboxing with Mark & Sue

Letterboxing with Mark & Sue: "What is Letterboxing?
Letterboxing enthusiasts hide and hunt weatherproof containers in remote or scenic places. Each container holds a logbook, a rubber stamp and stamp pad. The planter of the letterbox distributes clues to it's location via the internet, Word of Mouth, on websites or via other means. Clues can be easy to difficult. Finding a letterbox may require a combination of skills such as mapreading, orienteering, and puzzle-solving.

Letterboxers carry their own logbook and personal stamp when hunting for hidden boxes. Upon finding a letterbox, they will imprint their own logbook using the found stamp, and leave their own stamping or personalization in the letterbox's logbook. Some artistic letterboxers carve and even design their own stamps and logbooks. Letterboxes are hidden in various locations throughout the world.

Letterboxing has its beginnings in Dartmoor National Park in England, where the first letterbox at Cranmere Pool was placed in 1854 by a Dartmoor guide named James Perrott, who left his calling card in a container there while guiding tourists through Dartmoor. "

Visit the skeletal remains of a cold war weapon

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This presentation will take you on a full tour of a decommissioned, abandoned underground missile complex. The site was opened many years ago by explorers and vandals, and in fact the technology therein was nearly obsolete by the time the bases were completed in 1963, so there's little "secret" about it beyond the location of these sites, which we will not reveal here.

WE WERE VIOLATING FEDERAL TRESPASSING LAWS BY VISITING THIS INSTALLATION, AND WE WERE RISKING OUR HEALTH/LIVES IN THE PROCESS. WE ALSO WERE CAUGHT... THIS WAS SECOND DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS. FELONY CHARGES WILL HAUNT YOU THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, THEY'RE WATCHING. PLEASE ... DO NOT TRY TO ENTER ONE OF THESE SITES YOURSELF! HAD ONE OF US BEEN HURT BENEATH THE SURFACE, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THE VICTIM/BODY, GIVEN THE CONDITION OF THE ENTRANCE, NOT TO MENTION THE PRESENCE OF ASBESTOS AND OTHER CHEMICALS IN THE TUNNELS. BECAUSE OF THE POOR AIR CIRCULATION, THERE IS ALSO A SIGNIFICANT CHANCE THAT THE RADIOACTIVE GAS 'RADON' BUILDS UP DOWN THERE, TOO. THE LONG TERM HEALTH RISKS ARE NOT WORTH IT JUST TO SEE SOME RUSTED MACHINES. WE HAVE BROUGHT THIS PHOTO-TOUR TO YOU SO THAT YOU WON'T HAVE TO GO THERE YOURSELF TO SEE IT. MISSILE BASES LIKE THIS ONE ARE FOUND ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, MOSTLY IN THE MID-WEST, AND OWNERSHIP USUALLY REVERTS BACK TO THE RANCHER/FARMER, WHO WILL VERY LIKELY BE WATCHING FOR TRESPASSERS WITH A LOADED SHOTGUN.
